chad...i think i remember reading somewhere that you are a MMedia major? I took 1B03 as my multimedia elective. I'm sort of torn, though. I am not super-familiar with photoshop / illustrator....but i'm an art student with a good understanding of image composition / colour theory etc. I'm creative...and I know I'll pick it up really quickly...my only question: should i be taking photoshop tutorials NOW, or will it be taught in class? thanks so much!

Note to all...

When SOLAR returns back online you can still change your classes around. Infact, you can change your classes right into the first few weeks of September during the DROP & ADD period.

That means that when you arrive at Mac and go to your first classes, if you find that your class isn't what you expected and want to get out of it and switch it up with another one, you CAN! Simply go back to SOLAR, drop the class, and add the new one (as long as it isn't full).

a degree audit lets you know

a) what courses you have taken
b) what courses you are taking
c) how they fulfill your degree requirements
d) what credits you still need to fulfill for your degree.

i'm not sure if anyone is able to run one now, as our courses from the year still have not been finalized. which is possibly why you can't see anything.

For anyone out there in Science I and you took Data management in highschool (probability stuff) I strongly reccommend Stats 1CC3. It's easier than what you did in highschool and easy to get a good mark in!

It's boring math number crunching.... but not a lot of work.

Stats 1CC3 is required by almost all 2nd year science programs, so I suggest people take it. I found it to be much much easier than high school data management.
The tests are exactly the same as the practice tests apart from different numbers. Basically, if you are responsible enough to work through the practice tests, you shouldn't get much less than 100% on the midterms and final.
