Pretty easy. O Shaughnessy is an amazing prof who explains things clearly.
Buy the textbook, do practice problems and you can get a 12

Dont buy it right away. You should never buy a textbook before classes have begun. Instead, go to class and gauge it for yourself as to whether or not you need the book Speaking from experience, this class is a breeze, the courseware is not really needed to do well. Just my opinion though.

The course becomes easy if you study and put an effort on it. You are in university so you should know that there is no course that allows you to walk in the park hehe Definitely advice you to do well in APLIA assignment worth 15% because it is handy and useful to know and understand the concepts based from lectures. Also, I found the book to be helpful because Prof Bridget O'Shaughnessy lecture notes are short since she presents the information step by step. There's not much memorization in this class unlike environmental science, biology, any memory based course. Overall, you should do fine in the course without much putting time on it

Before you buy the textbook, see if the library or a friend has it (and just give them some money for using it) especially if it is just for the practice problems. You may find you won't even use the book

I have a conflict with my geog 1HA3, and now 1bb3 sounds like a breeze. Im thinking of kicking geo to the curb.

even though the lecture notes are short, the thought process needed to comprehend the basic topics they are outlining is even smaller! Seriously, if you can find the addition, subtraction and multiplication keys on your calculator, thats about all the you will need... fine maybe a division or two as well, but thats only for the tricky problems!
