My plan was to take the 3 more econs i needed to get my minor but my friend told me that minors dont show up on commerce transcripts and itll only show that i took a lot of econs not necessarily that i got an econ minor.

Is this true?

You asked two separate questions - in the subject you ask if it will show up on your diploma and in the body of the message you asked if it will show up on the transcript. I'm not sure if you care about one or the other or both, but I'll try to answer.

Regardless of your program, your minor will not appear on your diploma. It has nothing to do with your minor being econ or your major being commerce.

I believe minors typically show up on transcripts, and I can't see why commerce would be any different, but I'm not 100% sure that they even show up on transcripts

Just to add, minors do show up on your transcript. You have to declare it prior to graduation and they verify it and once it's approved, it will be stated on your transcript.
