Is economics 4th year courses necessary to minor in economics?
Hey everyone!

Ok so I am majoring in sociology and minoring in economics and my question is that is it necessary to take a Level 4 economics course to be minoring in economics. I was planning on taking only second and third year economic courses. This is what it says on the mcmaster website and (im little confused about the second, third and fourth economics courses):

24 units to minor in economics

6 units -- Econ 1B03 and Econ 1BB3

18 units -- Level 2, 3, 4 economics with no more than 6 units from econ 2A03, 2C03, 2D03, 2E03, 2F03, 2I03, 2J03, 2P03 and 2T03

You can take 6 level 2 units, so if you can take 12 level 3 units then you have successfully minored without taking any level 4 economics courses.

Can it be like 12 units second year and 6 units third year (also making sure only to take 6 units from that list given to minor in economics)

Is that possible??

I guess it's possible. You can actually take all second year economics courses according to my calculations. By the way, I think you got that information from an old undergraduate calendar...
