MSU Election Update: There WILL be a recount

The story continues, as the MSU has announced they will now do a recount of the ballots. Keep in mind that according to the preliminary count, J Jones won by 8 votes over Kasmani. Hopefully the recount will bring closure to the election and we'll finally know the confirmed winner!

Statement from Elections Committee: "The Elections Committee has approved a motion for a recount of presidential ballots. The recount will take place Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 4.30pm."

UPDATE FEB 22: The MSU website hints that the reasoning behind the recount was because of the small margin between Azim Kasmani and Jerimi Jones (as we had predicted in previous posts). The MSU news post reads "In light of the slim margin of victory in this year's Presidential election, there has been a motion put forward to have the ballots recounted."
