Hallowe'en is coming up soon... if you're looking to lose your virginity, dress up as a prisoner and look for a cop and say "arrest me" (or vice versa and say "you're under arrest"). Just assume that they're drunk, don't hold me liable for any accidents, and you'll probably do alright

Oh, I know =)
It's just that it turns into precisely that- a platform to convert people into one's personal way of thinking. Sex=good. Sex=bad. Sex=huh?. Whatever it may be.
I know that's just the unconcious direction that's taken, but it seems to be so magnified when it comes to something like sex, probably because the morals behind sex and virginity are subjective.

Judging by the posts on here, most threads somehow end up talking about something sexual. Just sayin'.

Well said, but as other people said, it's interesting to look at how others see the issue and how they think about it. Personally, I know a whole bunch of people who are still virgins within the 19-22 age range, all by choice and I don't see what's wrong with it.. Especially if someone is doing it just because the "age" is 16 or whatever.

How many girls and guys do you know that are virgins in that age range exactly? I'm assuming a lot more guys than girls.

Wow, I would definitely think more girls would be virgins than guys. I would think that girls are more careful about losing their virginity, while guys "just wanna get laid." Doing a head count, and I have almost the exact same number of girl friends to guy friends, almost all of the guys have lost their virginity, while only half of the girls have given it away.

Some things you have to take into account:
1. Girls can get laid way easier than guys can, so it's more unlikely for a girl to be a virgin
2. Probably not all those guys have actually lost their virginities, guys are made fun of for being virgins past a certain age, so they'll lie about it
3. Not all the girls you think are virgins are actually still virgins, they just tell you that to seem pure, in actuality a lot of them have probably lost it, but they regret it, so they tell everyone they're still a virgin
bcars
says thanks to Souldier for this post.

He's right.
Plus there are more girls that guys want to screw than there are guys that girls want to screw.
EDIT: Oh wait....that was his first point.

First of all, I know all my friends really well and I know they're being honest, plus I get the call "during the cigarette" if you get my drift. Other people I don't know well who tell me they are/aren't a virgin, I have no idea, because like I said I don't know them well, and they could be lying. SECOND of all, how can more guys be virgins than girls, or girls more than guys? Do the math! It takes both a girl AND guy to have sex so the number must be equal!

1) People call you right after having sex? Woah
2) More guys can be virgins than girls. You're assuming all sex has to be between a guy and girl
3) This is where the definition of virginity comes in. A grey area, in my opinion, because its different for everyone.

Because one person couldn't have sex with more than one other person, nooo. That'd be just WRONG.

I thought the importance of dating was to have fun in a medium that allowed for extended activities. Most people perceive a relationship as some abstract thing, but it's really just a way for both people to have added support and someone to have fun with.
Sure, marriage is a nice mushy sentiment that could be viable in the end, but let's not lie and say we thought we were going to marry every person we dated
