I really liked 1984 too.
Hmm, if you like to read about suicide, asylums, girls, and social conventions, I suggest reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. My fave book of all time.
edit/
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was a really good book. The movie for it was great too. It's also about asylums.

I never understood these kinds of topics, since I don't know what you guys expect to gain from these questions. Can you theoretically improve your mark? Do the math to find out. There's often a big difference, however, between an ideal target and how much effort students will actually put into improving their grade. A lot of comments giving you specific averages on specific components of the course are so subjective as to be meaningless. Has the course difficulty changed since a couple of years ago? Has the professor changed? How do you process information and apply concepts relative to other students? How is your work ethic relative to other students? If you wanted people to come online and write, "Don't worry bro, first year's not that bad. Apply yourself and you'll do fine, you can get such-and-such grade in physics if you work hard from now on, you'll eventually get used to how the course is structured, etc", then I guess I can understand your reasoning. In that case, you may also want to visit here.

I'm willing to overlook your reputation of distributing virtual feces because your favourite books are some of mine as well. Friends?

Now considering, I get my ass back on track and do all the reading, problems, CAPA, etc... Can I still make it in 70-80% range?
