Well, we just started.
Our professor is O'Connor. And so far I've really enjoyed her lectures.
20% participation
15% Assig. 1
30% Assig. 2
35% Exam

I can't say anything about the difficulty as of now.
There are readings for each class though.

Dr. O'Connor is one of the kindest teachers you will ever have. she's so engaged in her lectures, so lively. Sitting in the furthest rows away from her is such a loss.

That being said, the concepts in this course aren't always apparent. Currently, we're discussing culture, what it is, and what it means to us. Out of the three readings we have done, the easiest to understand was Toni Morrison's 1993 Nobel price lecture. There is another reading by Raymond Williams that is a bit more difficult, and Mattthew Arnold makes you want to pluck out your eyes.

HOWEVER,

when these concepts are discussed in tutorials, it's soo much better. The TA will ask you question that let you focus in on the exact thing you need to think about, and discussion are quite insightful. I've only had one tutorial so far, but I loved it.

This course hasn't disappointed me yet.

I'm taking this course second semester as well. I was in need of that information too, thank you very much! I also wanted to ask about the class size during cores, is it a big lecture hall or a small classroom?

Guys, after reading your comments I am now very excited to begin this course soon, well about 4 months soon

Thanks again, all the best to everyone!
