Entrance Scholarship?
My final average based on my 6 u/m courses was 97%. My midterm average was slightly lower however it was still above 95%. According to mcmaster.ca 95+ receive a $3000 entrance scholarship. On my mugsi account it says I've only received a scholarship of $2000 and that the full amount has been paid.

Who do I approach to have this fixed? And does anyone know any possible reasons that this may have occured? I repeated a course... could that be the reason? Is there a difference in calculating admissions average vs. entrance scholarship average?

Did you take into account the required courses for your program into the 6 courses used to calculate your average? The admission average is what's used for the entrance scholarship.

If you need to approach someone, that would most likely be SFAS (In Gilmour Hall). You should bring your high school transcript.

Yes, I calculated my average based on the 6 required courses. I'd have to go all the way back to my high school to get a transcript and that would be near impossible. I'm assuming that they'll have access to it since I sent it to them in August.

Bring your report card then, they might accept it as official proof.

If you're from Ontario, you could request a transcript from your old high school and get them to mail it to you (or Financial Aid), it's really not that hard.

I got it figured out. Thanks everyone. They calculated my average using the wrong courses... obviously making it lower than it should have been.
