Environmental Science
Hey guys I am in Grade 12 right now and was wondering what my chances were to get into the Earth and Environmental Science program at Mac with an average of 85?

Last year's cutoff should give you an idea of what the expected cutoff is this year.
You won't get anything more accurate than that.

Iconite says thanks to starfish for this post.

So last years cut off I assume was 82-85%... So I would assume that I have a decent chance to get in. The only worry for me is that they only accept 60-70 people.

If their target enrollment is 60-70, they'll probably accept ~100 (maybe even more, depending how many people usually decline the offer). So, the people with the top 100 GPAs (or whatever number it is) will get offers. Nobody can tell you what your "chances" are with a given average. It depends on the averages of people applying, which seem to go up every year as grades are inflated more and more.

Thanks for the info!

No, a target enrolment of 60-70 people is accurate. I believe last year's incoming class was 74 people. The number of people that are actually in the enviro program is quite small, its just that a lot of people take the first year enviro classes.

Don't quote me on this, but when I was helping out at the open house with our academic advisor, he said an 85 gives you a pretty good chance.
