Just wondering when it says on exam schedule that im writing in IWC 1 (3) that means im in IWC 1 and the 3 is some part of that gym?

Yep!

You write in gym 1, which will be divided into sections 1-10.

Just to clarify, for my chem exam, I went in and my section (7), was full. So one of the invigilators told me to go to the end where they had extra desks and stuff. So in turn, the section you're writing in doesn't really matter.

Nope. The gym is just divided up into sections so that it is more organized. They really have no significance....I believe the sections are just based on alphabetical order.
