I just arrived in Hamilton. I am looking for place to rent for only 4 months.

Check the marketplace. It's best to find someone who will sublet their room. Pretty much only co-op students will sublet during the fall/winter session.

Mac has an off campus resource site here

There usually isn't much 4-month rooms, but it's worth a shot.
