Ya I agree.. and if you think about it, they are benefitting because they are getting free graphic design work for really cheap or basically nothing.

I don't think you understand how that $120 is spent. Granted, I know it could be done significantly cheaper if student societies were allowed to use other caterers, and not forced to go through Paradise catering.

Seriously guys, who cares about welcome week logo? We got more important things to worry about than a stupid logo !

actually I think at 601 we got rid of the macpass....and everyone has to pay for welcome week now.... or at least every first year

The only thing that might be worth paying for is some concert they throw at you, but even that, you could just get a ticket for it separately.

Yaaaa, like Mike said, many don't have a clue about that $120. Do you have any idea how much it costs to run welcome week? The logistics involved, the paid staff (and students)? It's huge.

But back to the main topic, yes, there better be an interesting theme at least.
