Failing an elective
I think I failed an elective. I had the exam today and it didn't go quite as I had hoped. Anyways if I do end up failing it, do I have to take the exact same course over again? I need 12 units of elective this year to qualify for third, so if it ends up not mattering then I'll just take 6 courses next semester.

1- Don't assume you failed! It's still early. And you might get a 50 , or even better. You never know.
2- Yes, you'd have to make it up sometime before you graduate I imagine, but if your program states you need 12 elective units to qualify for level III, then you'd have to take it either next term or in the summer, before next fall to be able to get into the 3rd year of your program.

In first year I dropped an elective. The dean told me that I needed 30 units to get into 2nd year but the academic advisor told me that I only needed 24 units. Anyways, I didn't take that elective till this year but I still got into second year. I was just surprised at how uninformed the dean was. I don't know if that helps but that's what happened to me....

Alright, thanks guys. So all that matters is that I have the credits, not how I got them. I'll probably just take a 6th course, I've done it before and its not that hard.
