Fencing
Hey,
So tomorrow there is a fencing class. I wanted to check it out, but I lost my flyer. Can someone tell me when and where it is?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder, I completely forgot about it! Is there any sort of dress code to adhere to, or is it cool if I come in jeans and a t-shirt from class?

All Monday night will be is a demonstration of the sport; you'll learn about the history, the weapons, the technique and you'll most likely see a quick match with every weapon. You won't actually be doing any fencing tomorrow night, so don't worry about what you're wearing.
If you choose to do the beginners class however, you don't need anything special to wear when you're there, but jeans are rather uncomfortable to fence in.

Jeans will be really uncomfortable if your gonna fence. If your a beginner you will end up doing a lot of quad building excersises. So I suggest wearing like track pants or shorts. And a t-shirt. If you guys do start some actual fencing, I assume you will be using foils and not sabres. And that they will provide equipment (glove, suit, helmet). Just a note though, it gets REALLY hot inside that suit. Be prepared to sweat

Someone asked that (maybe it was you!) and the answer was no, but they do offer classes in April and in June.
So who else showed?

From what I've been told, the next 2 weeks are open to the public without having to pay. I think it's worth checking out, to judge whether the 6 weeks thereafter would be worth the money. Anybody else thinking of going this route?

Unfortunately I couldn't make it. I think I'll come down next week though. Can you give me some more details if you don't mind?
