How To find My Classes?
So first day of classes is Thursday the 10th, and im just wondering how to find my classes..

On Thursday I have:

BIOLOGY 1P03 C01
CNH 104
09:30 - 10:20

POL SCI 1G06 C01
TSH 120
11:30 - 12:20

So, im guessing that, for biology, 1P03 is the subject, C01 is core, and CNH 104 is the location?
There are a lot of buildings on Campus, and i don't know how to use the codes. Could someone maybe post a map of Mac or something, because im commuting from Oakville every day, and i'd like to not get lost and be late

ALSO: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My Friday classes are:

MATH 1F03 C01 <-- Core?
HH 109
09:30 - 10:20

POL SCI 1G06 C01 <-- Core?
TSH 120
11:30 - 12:20

MATH 1F03 T02 <-- Tutorial, NOT mandatory during 1st week?
HH 305
14:30 - 15:20

POL SCI 1G06 T06 <-- Tutorial, NOT mandatory during 1st week?
JHE 329
15:30 - 16:20

So my 2nd day at MAC will be the Friday's schedule ^ , and since I have two subject repeating again, (if they are tutorials or w.e), the professor will mention when I should go to those tutorials, and if he doesn't, i dont go to them during 1st week?

I think that is all haha

Thanks

P.s lol.. as i've been doing this, i've might have figured some stuff out.. like TSH is Togo Salmon Hall, and the 120 indicates its on the 1st floor? Either way, it'd be great if you guys could explain.

Also, we shouldn't have our textbooks with us yet, right?

First few lectures we just talk about the course and stuff, and then we purchase the textbooks from the professor, or go to some store on campus?

You should have received a map during welcome week. It will list all the building acronyms. And your guesses were correct.

You buy the textbooks from the bookstores on campus, not the prof.

You can also google "mcmaster map", then click the maps link in the top left to get some.

Locate your classes before they begin so you're not rushing to find them. And if you need to, just ask someone and if they know they'll help you find it. And carry a map around until you get to know the campus and where your classes are.

If you didn't recieve or lost your map, you can pick up a pocket map with all buildings labelled and most abbreviations explained at any library. It's usually at the front desk but if you don't find it, just ask for help.

I'd also suggest for you to familiarize yourself with your classrooms since you don't want to be wandering around getting lost on your first day of class. That's for the day before

I have Bio with you! Yay~
Anyway, Yes, CNH is the location, and there's an article on here that should come in really handy for you. :]

http://www.macinsiders.com/showthread.php?t=2348 6 --> has a map and explains all the acronyms.

Yes, TSH 120, the 1 would indicate that it's on the first floor. If you ever see B in front of the number, it usually means it's in the basement. Don't get confused!

For example, if you have a class in KTH 107, it's on the first floor, room 107. If you have a class in KTH B107, it's in the basement, room 107.
