Hi Setsuka,
You should ask your prof what she means by "internet" sources. I would take this to mean anything from a website that is not scholarly, but you should double check. If you are indeed allowed to use scholarly online sources, such as JSTOR or America, History and Life, you will be able to find them on the McMaster Library website.
This is how you find them:
Go to the homepage.
Click on "Articles/Databases."
Select "History" from the dropdown menu.
At this point, a page will already load without you even pressing "enter." It will suggest three online journals that are commonly used for academic research. They are: America, History and Life, Historical Abstracts, and JSTOR.
Select one of these. If you select JSTOR, it will bring you to another page on the library website that explains what JSTOR is, and also the link to JSTOR. Once you click on the link, you will have to enter your library ID, and then start searching when you get to the JSTOR website!
Keep in mind that JSTOR does not inclide articles from the most recent 3-5 years. Historical Abstracts may be a better journal for you if you need recent articles.
I hope this helps! Message if you need more help.
