First day of term 2
Hey everyone, just wondering when the second term starts. I hope its not the 4th (although i have a feeling it is) because im currently in Europe and not will be back until the 9th.

Im pretty sure it's the 4th from what ive heard

EDIT: Confirmed. First day of class is 4th.

Sorry to confirm it, but it is the 4th. If it helps, the first week isn't usually that heavy in terms of work, if you're willing to catch up the weekend and week right after you come back!

This depends from program to program, and year to year. First week wasn't so bad last year when i was in life science but the first week back this january is already pretty packed for me.

Yeah it's the 4th. If you're in first or second year most programs don't really have anything due that week

Does anyone know if its similar to the first term where we dont need to attend any of our tutorials the first week?

Yup, you don't attend tutorials during the first week unless instructed by the professor.

Yeah - do we have labs and tutorials the first week back if it's a 3 unit (first year) course?

Like someone already said, no, unless instructed to by a prof, but I doubt that will happen since how can you have a lab or tutorial if you havn't learned anything....

Check website announcements to see if you have Labs/Tutorials first week. You could also just email your prof and ask.

If it's a year long class, there MIGHT be tutorials first week... but check with your prof if you want, or go to class and find out if your tutorial comes after lecture.
