First Year Council Nominations Now Open!

 
On September 29th, all first year students will have the opportunity to elect a new FYC Executive for the following positions:
  • Chair
  • Vice-Chair
  • Advocacy Director
  • Communications Director
  • Events Director
The Nomination period for the FYC Election will begin at 9am on Wednesday, September 8th and run until Tuesday, September 21st at 5:30pm. Nomination packages can be downloaded by clicking on the links below or can be picked up in the MSU Office, MUSC rm 201. Please note that all candidates must attend a mandatory meeting in the MSU boardroom at 5:30pm on September 21st.

There will also be two information sessions held on September 14th and 15th at 5:30pm in the Twelve Eighty Lounge for students to learn more about FYC and the MSU and ask any questions regarding the election itself.

PS: Upper Years CAN run too.

Just to clarify, Upper Years CANNOT run as per bylaw 9 of the MSU, First Year Council.

" 3.1 The First Year Council shall be composed of five (5) voting members, elected by and from MSU members registered in Level One of their program of study. "

Only level One students will be allowed to run in the election. Hope that helps clarify things!
