hey there, hows it going guys. so its my first year at mac and im going into life sci 1 - cant really say that im too excited, more nervous and scared.

anyways, if you guys can give me a few tips on the courses i took and answer some of the questions which i have it will be really appreciated

1) first off, i took linguistics and econ (micro) as my electives. i was wandering how much of bird courses these are, because to be frank i took them cus some friends said they were bird.

2) im a bit confused by term 1 and term 2, are these like semisters - so i have 5 courses during the first term and 5 during the second, and at the end of each term i will have my exams if im not mistaken. - i know that was a stupid question.

3) can you give me some advice on the courses which i have taken; how hard are they and which professors are really good for those courses.

Psych 1X03:
- Really interesting course. All the lectures are through online modules and you really only have tutorials. You really need to know the material (i.e. tricky test questions). Only time you'll see the prof is through the online lectures. In tutorials it's your TA, so really can't comment on those.

You'll have a couple of assignments. When I took it first year the biggest assignment was a group essay. Dunno if they're still doing that.
They'll also give you opportunities to boost your mark.

Econ 1B03
- Really easy course. If you have Holmes, there's barely any reason to go to lecture since she posts all her powerpoints online and basically reads off them (although apparently they started doing in-class quizzes after I took the course). Material's not too hard to grasp, either.
