First Year Kinesiology Courses
I'm going into first year kinesiology this fall and I'm trying to decide which courses to take. I have decided on MATH 1F03 (I didn't take grade 12 calculus), MATH 1A03 or MATH 1LS3 (which one would you recommend?), PHYSICS 1L03 (I heard that it is recommended and I didn't take grade 12 physics but should I take it?), KINESIOL 1A03, 1AA3, 1C03, 1E03, 1F03, 1G03 (are these courses all mandatory for first year kinesiology?), and BIO 1A03 or 1M03 (which one would you recommend?).
Are these courses okay for first year kinesiology, will it be too hard? Am I missing any courses that I should be taking?
Thanks!

I recommend Math 1LS3, and you can look under course reviews for more information. If you don't have to take physics, then it's up to you. Do you want to take it, or are you simply taking it because it's recommended? I know a lot of people in Kin who didn't take it and don't plan to, but it's up to you . Yes these are required:
18 units KINESIOL 1A03, 1AA3, 1C03, 1E03, 1F03, 1G03
You can also look up the course reviews for Bio 1A03(more macromolecules, genetics, etc) and Bio 1M03 (evolution, ecology). I personally liked Bio 1A03 more, but I would read reviews on both to see which interests you most.
Reviews can be found here:

Bio 1A03: http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...3.html?t=21033

Math 1F03 or grade 12 calc is a prerequisite for Math 1LS3/1A03 which is a requirement for the kin program. (either first year or second year)
You could always take grade 12 calc over the summer to free up an elective in the fall if you want.
The 1st and 2nd year kin courses are mandatory in their respective years.
Bio 1M03/ Bio 1A03 are more a matter of personal choice unless you want to take upper level bios in which case you'll need both.

People have told me that they have done just fine in Biomechanics in 2nd year without Physics 1L03 or even grade 12 physics, so, while it is recommended, I would personally only take it if you really want to. I'm going into Kinesiology I too and I'm not taking it even though I don't have grade 12 physics because the subject matter puts me to sleep.

I did fine in Biomechanics and never even took Grade 11 Physics! Math does come easily to me though. The Biomech prof wants to make Grade 12 Physics a requirement to enter the Kin program, but knows it won't happen in the near future because it will seriously decrease the number of applicants.
From what I've heard, Math 1LS3 is waaaay easier than 1A03. I took 1A03 though, so I can't comment on the material in 1LS3. If you wanted to take both math courses in first year, you would have to take 1LS3, since 1A03 is only offered first semester.
As for Bio, it's up to you based on what concepts in Biology you find more interesting.
Feel free to ask any more questions!
