That's so true. My french teachers have been awesome since grade 8. I'm hoping the streak continues in university too. To be honest, I've never hated a subject because of the teacher though. Just hate the teacher

I’ve had a fair share of them in high school as well. Show that you are at least trying to learn the material, and you should be fine :p.

Thats why I think the teachers should make the course "fun" for the students.
Not many are interested in french because it's "boring" to most people cuz it's mainly memorization of grammar and what not.
but if the teachers included like a game.. or made it fun with funner (if that's a word.. i don't know.. i excel in french.. not english.. ahah) assignments for the students!
I hope that i can do that when i [hopefully] become a teacher!

I completely agree with how you think. That's exactly how Math was for me. In highschool it was so fun with projects and presentations, games and competitions but in University it was so boring, the professor didn't seem very interested in the material and it was mainly based on memorization. They didn't really teach the reason why theorems are the way they are.
Anyways, back on topic. Good luck with becoming a French teacher and I hope you get a lot of kids interested in the language!

Wow, that’s pretty awesome. I was born into a French-Canadian family as well, and I’m still not that great at French. I’m getting much much better though, but I could never imagine myself teaching it :p.
Like Jeremy, I hope you do get kids interested in it. It seems as if not many kids are these days.
Best of luck!
