FT / PT status for OSAP: by semester or by school year?
I'm thinking about dropping a class this semester to pick it up next semester instead.

Currently I'm at 9 units per semester which is the minimum to be considered full-time in my program for OSAP (SocSci). (note: I'm still part-time by McMaster standards, but I'm at a 60% course-load as far as OSAP as concerned so they consider me full-time. It's basically the "sweet-spot" for SocSci). So, dropping a class this semester and picking one up next would put me at 6 units this semester and 12 next semester which is still the required 18 units, but I would technically be part-time for OSAP purposes for this semester IF they consider enrollment one semester at a time which would royally mess up how much I'm entitled to. Anyone been in this situation before?

I'm pretty sure OSAP calculates course loads by session (Fall/Winter is 1 session, Spring/Summer is the other).

I'm probably going to go talk to a financial aid advisor before I do drop a class but I'm getting killed in Econ 2G03/2H03 because the midterms are always on the same day so I really want to drop one and focus on the other. Just worried cause if I lose OSAP I won't be able to afford school at all >_<
