General Questions
Heyy! I am in Health Sciences, and one of my courses, Cellular and Molecular Systems, is only offered in term 3. I was wondering if term 3 is summer? And what months are in each term? Thanks!

Hey I asked the same question here before lol. Term 3 means it's a year long course (runs during semester 1 and 2)
Term 1 : Sept-Dec (Dec is exams)
Term 2: Jan - April (April is exams)
Term 3: Sept - April (a mid exam in Dec and a final in April )

Thanks so much!
Also, for certain courses (i.e. Chemistry 1A03), the course requires 3 lectures, 1 tutorial and 1 lab. When making my timetable, there is a "Comp" column, under which it says: C01, L01, T01, etc... I'm assuming C stands for core, which means lecture, L stands for lab and T stands for tutorial. But because this course requires 3 Ls, 1T and 1L, am I supposed to choose three C's, 1T and 1L from the Comp list when making my schedule? Or do I choose 1 of each letter?

No, you only choose 1 Core. Next to each Core you'll see 3 days (Mo, Tu, Th for example) and beside that you'll see the time (11:30-12:20 for example) That means in 1 week you will have 3 hours of lectures.
Also, 1 lab and 1 tutorial if they exist for that course.

Thanks so much! That really helps.
I was also wondering, I have a mandatory course: Cellular and Molecular Systems for which when looking at available time slots, it only gives me one option. Under the course details, it says 2 practicums and 1 tutorial is required. First of all, what is a practicum? Is it basically a lecture? Also under the “Day(s)” column, it says: Tu, Th. Does this mean that I have the option to choose between Tu and Th? Or does it mean I have this course on both Tuesday and Thursday?

A practicum is a field placement. So Cellular and Molecular Systems... you might be placed in an actual lab doing actual work? I'm not sure, but that's what it sounds like. Kind of like how Optometrists have Clinic I think.
Each core will have the days listed when the core takes place. If it's Tu, Th then it means you will have a lecture in both of these days.

One of my courses is Science 1A00- WHMIS, Health and Safety, and the course description says it is evaluated on a pass or fail basis and is web- based. Does this mean I am doing this course all on my own time, and won't need to book time for it in my schedule/ timetable?

Science 1A00 is a one time thing, there are several sessions that you can attend throughout september.

Haven't had Stover but Dr. Valliant and Dr. Lock are both good professors.

I heard Stover was good (for 2OB3). I've heard good things about Lock as well.

I took the course last year. You have two three hour lectures on Tuedays and Thursdays every week (and usually they finish in less than three hours). There are no tutorials for the course (or atleast there weren't any last year).

Lock was the best prof I could've had for such a hard class. If it wasn't for her I would'nt have done as nearly as well as I did. I've also had both other profs (as subsitutes) who are very good but my favourite is still Lock by far.
