I was reading the Fall 2012 course outline and under course material it mentions something about Newbyte license receipt.

I am guessing its an access code. If it is does it come with the textbook?

It's not really an access code, it's actually just a $2.50 dollar license fee to use the Newbyte software that'll be used for one tutorial. It doesn't come with the textbook. There'll be a voucher posted onto avenue which you'll take to the bookstore and have its barcode scanned to make the purchase. You have to save your receipt and show your TA once tutorials begin so that they can mark off that you actually bought the license.

I wouldn't even bother getting it unless your TA insists. I didn't get it, and we never ended up using it anyways.
