I was wondering if anyone had taken the course in previous years? The prof teaching it this year is Niko Yiannakoulia. The mark break down is:
Mid-term exam 25% February 10
Assignment 25% March 14
Final exam 50% TBA
What are his questions like? Is the assignment an essay? what did you have to do for it? Do they mark hard?
Also, I've never taken a geography course before so would it be hard for me to keep up with the class?

I am wondering about this course as well. From what I have heard the prof is really good, but I have only talked to a few people.

I took this course a couple years ago. I don't remember too much about the assignments, but I really liked the prof. The lectures were pretty fun and he made the information interesting. I got a B+ in the class, so the assignments must have been decent.

did they mention anything about the assignment and how it was marked? do you know if it was an essay?

How difficult was his style of testing in this course, like the midterms and exam on a scale of 1-10? Thanks!

Im trying to get into this course, but what are the prerequisites?
It says there are courses that are RECOMMENDED, NOT required.
When I go on solar, it says I dont have the prereq for this course.
Help!

You're right, there are no prereqs. You can see here:

It sounds like SOLAR is messing up. Contact the Geography department on Monday and they should be able to put you in (if the class isn't full). |
