no. what happened the first week was some ppl showed up and they were given a brief review and sent home. then on tuesday, prof. joshi apologized for the mixup and did the whole thing from scratch. thursday's class was interrupted because a student had a medical emergency so the class was dismissed.
FYI - you will need to log on to SOLAR and sign up for a tutorial. Each tutorial has a TA assigned - the TA info is posted on ELM if you need to email and ask any questions or see what times each tutorial is held.
also, go to the gerontology site and download the course outline... at the back you will see two forms - one to take part in the discussion groups and one to volunteer with a senior's organization.
PICK ONLY ONE! if you're going to do the discussion group - the signup starts at 8:30 a.m. on Monday - I believe in KTH (forget which room - 226 or something like that).
if you're going to do the senior's org. make sure you pick up a police form and a workman's compensation form. you need to start researching at making contact with a place... only do the police form IF they need you to. everyone needs to do the insurance form. that way, if the org. doesn't cover you, McMaster does. Prof. Joshi also explained that some places might need you to take TB tests. The forms are all due Jan 21st I believe.
I know I'm not remembering everything exactly - but check the course outline - it explains it really well.
