Looks like the 11 goes there. You'd have to take the 1/10 to Parkdale Avenue to get to the 11.

The quickest route is probably to take any bus HSR to Jackson square and there you can transfer to burlington transit route #1 at either King & Bay or King and James. I'm not sure if you have to pay the Burlington transit fare ($3) or if your McMaster HSR pass works as a transfer (the HSR site is ambiguous on this).

The burlington transit schedules are available here:

I love Mapleview... they have a Coach there now. <3

Oh ya they also have a Forever XXI which is cool because I've never been to one before. And they have Pink. Of course T.O. now has Victoria's Secret so that makes Pink a little less cool, but I still like it.

You have to pay the fare:

Please note: Burlington Transit does not accept Oakville Transit or Hamilton Street Railway tickets or passes.

But it also says:
Quote:
You can transfer to and from neighbouring systems; Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) and Oakville Transit at the following locations:
http://cms.burlington.ca/Page6099.aspx

And on HSR's website it says:
Quote:
BURLINGTON TRANSIT Fare Integration
On payment of a regular HSR fare (cash-EXACT FARE, ticket, pass or transfer), when transferring onto the 11-Parkdale service or other services heading into the King/James area, please ask the operator for a transfer to connect to the Burlington service once you reach the Aldershot GO Station, Burlington Terminal or King & James. This transfer will be accepted by all Burlington Transit (BT) operators to continue your trip from your transferring point. If you need to make another connection once in Burlington, surrender your HSR transfer and obtain a Burlington Transit transfer from the BT operator. The same will apply when paying your fare to Burlington Transit. Obtain a transfer from the Burlington Transit operator and surrender it to the HSR driver at either the Aldershot GO Station, Burlington Terminal or at King & James. If you need to connect to additional HSR services, please ask the HSR driver for a new transfer.

So these all seem to contradict. I guess all you can do is get a transfer from the HSR and see if burlington will take it. If they don't, have the $3 just in case .

I did it once, you just have to get a transfer from the HSR driver and show it to the BT driver, you'll be good to go.

the burlington transit bus that stops in hamilton will take an hsr transfer. what i did was i got on an hsr bus to downtown, showed my student card but then still asked for a transfer to use on the burlington transit.

wen u get on the burlington transit bus u just show ur hsr transfer, and i think they even give u an actual burlington transfer once ur on that bus. hope that helps!

I regularly go to Mapleview Mall from Mac and don't pay a cent. (The other direction, toward Hamilton, I do still have to pay the burlington fare however)

You are able to obtain a transfer from the driver using your student card, by simply asking for a "Burlington Transfer." The driver will give you a transfer, but punch a hole in the "BT" slot (or they may just give you a transfer if it's busy/they're lazy, etc.).

Punching a hole prevents students from getting a transfer and giving/selling it to a friend who can ride for free. It designates the transfer as for specific use on the BT bus route.

(Note: This doesn't mean you can 'only' use punched transfers to ride the Burlington busses. It simply flags such transfers as 'unusable in Hamilton' (because you _should_ be using your student card there)).

Hope that helps!
