Go Bus fare fraud?
Has anyone ever payed for a shorter distance than they actually travelled? I've noticed the bus drivers don't really check or keep tabs on who gets on and off where.

lol what goes around comes around
experience shows that even if you get away with it, u will be caught at some point, which would be embarrassing ..
as far as bus drivers not caring or not noticing where you get off also depends on where you are getting off...for example, u can pay for a stop like Burlington, where not a lot of people usually get off through out the day...if u pay for the Burlington distance but want to get off at Square One...i think the bus driver will notice that....
bottom line, u have to be careful....best thing is to be honest
*may be that's why they invented presto. lol

dude every so often the bus driver checks, I've used it the same amount as the average student who lives in hamilton, maybe less, and the bus driver has checked everyones ticket just once, but it is possible just so you know.
edit: he checked everyones ticket on one of the further down stops. (less ppl left on the bus)

One time, a bus driver on the 47 made a girl get off at Oakville carpool since that is all she had paid for. I think she wanted to go further towards York... I think it was an honest mistake on her part. She didn't seem to know English too well. I felt so bad for her.

I've seen people pretend to be stupid to take advantage of the system like this...
It's not anyone's fault she lives in Canada and doesn't understand English.

The new TTC streetcars will implement a similar system. Just be honest, it makes for a better place.
There is this Somalian guy i see on the bus every now and then who always tries cheating the HSR drivers. For some reason he has two student cards and when he first walks onto the bus he tries showing an older sticker and when the driver notices he pulls out the other card... like wtf is wrong with people

That's so strange because I have gotten checked at least half the time I take the go train. Once I was beside a guy that was so amazed he finally got his ticket checked he said it was the first time in like 3 years. One time I ran for the train and made it like a second before the doors closed. Of course I got checked but it was the last ride on a 10 ride ticket and the guy believed me so he just ripped the ticket.
