GO Bus/HSR in summer
In the summer, is our student card valid for HSR? Does the GO bus stop on campus?

Your student card/sticker will not work for the summer. As for the GO bus, I'm not sure...

'm looking at the schedules now, for after April 2nd and it says it does go to McMaster terminal. It just looks like they go there less.

Yes, the GO bus still stops on campus but less frequently. Your student card will not work for buses as of May 1st. However, last year students were allowed to buy a four month bus pass at an additional charge.

I'm pretty sure you can still get GO at the regular student discount. In previous years when we used a GO student ID cards, the cards didn't expire until October of the following school year.
Also, not only are GO buses less frequent, HSR stops running the 51 over the summer I think. Unless things have changed.
The four month bus pass was a great idea; it's a lot cheaper than buying 4 monthly passes though obviously not as cheap as our year pass. However, if you live close enough to campus to walk and don't plan to go much outside of walking range I wouldn't bother to buy it.

well i can't remember the exact price but i remember figuring out that unless I used it 3 days a week it was cheaper to just buy tickets.

According to the City it was $252 last year, its about 3/4 of the way down this very long page:
http://www.hamilton.ca/CityServices/...nditions.ht m
Regular adult monthly passes are $87 / month, a savings of $96 and also means you don't have the pain of having to get a new pass each month.
According to the same page, if you buy a monthly GO pass at the Aldershot or Hamilton stations, you can get unlimited HSR transit for the same month for just $15 more.
