GO Transit
Alright so I just applied for the GO Transit bus pass and it said that I was accepted to get one and it gives a link of where to look to know where and when to pick up the pass, but I couldn't find the date or location anywhere on the website. If anyone knows or knows where I can find out this information please let me know. Thank you.

You will be picking up the pass (you mean the student discount pass, yes?) from the Compass information desk in the student centre.

As for when...I shall ask tomorrow when I'm at work (I work at Compass).

It said that you could only apply for it 1 month before the school session you're in starts ao I went on this morning and they had it available. it was weird though cause they had it as 07/09 fall and winter instead of 07/08. Probably just a typo. Anyways ya you can apply for it starting today.

it worked! w00t!

and the ACT website (http://act.mcmaster.ca/) states that you can pick up your card at Compass the Thursday after you apply...which means next week (I assume). However if you can't get there next week it's okay, they're kept safe in a drawer. Just remember to bring some ID with you when you pick it up (preferably your student card, but since you may not have that...something else with your full name on it).

Thanks! Ya I can only go get it in September, so I'll have my student card. I live 6 hours away so I can't make the trip up too often.

Yes, that is quite the trip.

Then I suggest picking up your card AFTER welcome week finishes, especially if you don't plan on going home that first week. Compass gets crazy busy during welcome week...from what i saw in previous years and what i've been told during training. They won't get thrown out or anything if they're not picked up right away, they are kept for some time.

Another question, where is Compass on campus? is it in the MUSC building?

Yes, it's in the MUSC building across from La Piazza and right beside the elevator.

And regarding picking up the student passes: if you fill it out before midnite on thursday (ie 11:59PM on Wednesday) if will be available for you to pick up the next thursday, there is no week in between like i initially thought.

Also, don't try and use them for August because they don't come into effect until September 1st.
