Here's a story already from this morning with regards to the Go Busses.

My girlfriend goes to U of T in Mississauga, and she was going home this morning. I knew the busses were diverted to Main and Emerson so we went there... and waited... and waited... and waited. Nothing. I had to get to my job, so I left her waiting for the bus which was already a half hour late. So another bus comes by after I leave, and she asks the driver and he tells her, very surprised, that there was supposed to be a bus at the expected time, and the driver pointed out that the drivers weren't told where to stop until 8AM when the strike started. That bus was stopped on the other side of Main, going the opposite direction. Nobody boarded the bus, and the driver just went about his business and left. Then they finally figured it out after the strike officially started.

So she was late for class and missed a quiz thanks to the uncertainty surrounding this strike. How fair.

That really sucks.

There was definitely some miscommunication going on there. The new stops were posted here yesterday, surely they could have let any drivers who go to McMaster know about them prior to 8 am this morning.

Waiting five minutes still makes them five minutes (plus unloading and loading up time late). They can't do that as they have on time log thingies they need to fill out.

Aw man.. That sucks; I had to walk from the hospital all the way to HH.. It kinda sucks because before you could afford to take the later bus, but now you can't.. hopefully this will be over soon-

As of 7:50 this morning, the strike became officially un-fun. Walking from Main to CNH...not fun at all. And I'm the type of person who freezes in the morning, even in the summer (I think it's because I'm still half-asleep, but anyway...)

On the bright side, I think I worked off all the halloween candy I have ever eaten in my entire life ever.

I saw the pickets in the distance...oh, what a sight that was.

Thankfully for me on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have 8:30 class in the Health Science building so on those days getting off the bus it will technically be a shorter walk. On Wednesdays and Fridays though I have to go to TSH, boo. Then walking back its always from TSH every day, boo again.

I better at least shed a few pounds if this strike goes on for a while.

There is a shortcut where the GO bus leaves people at mac through the hospital instead of around it. I'm not sure how to describe it but when you get off of the bus, the part of the hospital that is parallel to you has these two doors. You go into one of them, and go up the stairs and that leads you to a parking lot and then to where most of of the buildings are on sterling st.
