The Ministry of Transportation said it will add 18 new weekday round trips on its 47 route starting April 15th running between McMaster and in Mississauga. There are also 15 new eastbound trips and 16 more westbound trips being added for weekend travel.

As of Feb. 1, GO Transit introduced the following changes in their fares:

• 35-cent increase on current fares between $4.85 and $6.15
• 45-cent increase on current fares between $6.16 and $7.80
• 55-cent increase on current fares greater than $7.80

With classes ending on April 8, I'm not sure how useful added day-time trips starting April 15 will be for Mac students. I hope they don't look at the ridership over the summer and decide to reduce service in September as a reaction.

Summer services are already reduced in comparison to regular semesters (commuting for summer courses is probably the worst thing you can do as a student). This new increase would already take this into consideration.
