Go Transit Strike Has Been Adverted
FOR NOW...

The union head guy annouced it around 10:20 today. They only have a tentative deal so its not set in stone.

Awww, and I was really looking forward to another strike this year :(

Seriously though, I really hope a deal that is set in stone is actually reached soon.

just out of curiosity, if there was a strike, how would the university deal with aaccomadating students?

Probably wouldn't unless you had a nice prof. Mac doesn't really care.

It's not Mac's responsibility to accommodate anyone when it comes to GO striking...they didn't bother to accommodate us when they had their own strikes...

By choosing to attend McMaster, you are accepting responsibility for getting there (according to university policy). That's why they don't care if you have a midterm/exam on a Saturday and the Go buses don't run on Saturdays. University policy won't change at all if there is a Go strike.

Also, Saturday is (according to the University) a school day while Sunday isn't. That's why Saturday appears on the timetables.
