Good Food Box

Who? - You and your housemates
What? - Good Food Box Orders - $12/box ($9 for Bread Bin users)
Where? - MSU Office front desk (MUSC 201)
When? - From today until December 1, 2008
Why? - Because it's good food.

For those of you who don't know what the Good Food Box is, it is a produce share program organized by a church close to campus. They have a driver whose job is to buy food in bulk from the Ontario Food Terminal and to deliver them to different locations in Southern Ontario. The church then repacks the food into boxes, and resell them at no profit. For $12, one can get about 20 pounds of produce (Carrots, Onions, Leafy Vegetables, Potatoes, Squashes, Cabbage, Apples, Pears... just to name a few things). The idea is to get people eating better and to experience the quality of Ontario grown produce.

That being said, Ontario is quite barren this time of year so this box will likely see some items that come from the United States. For students, the box also fosters community as it is ideal for sharing in student homes. This is also a way for the Bread Bin to serve students better by providing a way to get better foods out into the community.
You can place an order at the MSU office (MUSC 201) front desk, just ask for Good Food Box forms. An office clerk will gladly assist you. Please have payments ready at the time of order.

The next order of the Good Food Box will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008. As usual, the produce will be delivered to the Student Centre. I will confirm the location with those who have placed an order.
