I got a Mcmaster parking ticket/violation
So I got a parking ticket from McMaster. Has anyone here gotten one before?
I'm wondering what would happen if I don't pay. The car isn't registered under my name (aside from being the secondary driver for insurance purposes) so they can't do anything to my student account, right? What would happen if I just ignore it? (yes, I'm a bad person)

They don't have a way to track you down unless you register your license plate with them. However, if your car is found on campus in the future, it could be towed / have a boot put on it so you can't drive away. This could be done even if you had paid to park and were parked correctly.
So if you plan to bring that particular car onto campus again it may be just best to pay the ticket. Of course if you think you were improperly ticketed, then there are means to appeal the ticket.

The license plate isn't registered with the school.
But would they send the plate number to the MTO and somehow try to connect me to it (via my parent's name) or maybe the MTO charging my parents who are registered under the car?

the parking tickets at Mcmaster aren't a game. If it doesn't get paid they will come after you. ( they really don't care if you are a student )

Wouldn't the ticket be mailed to the address that the car is registered under as well? I know when my brother got a ticket it was mailed to the house lol.

Just pay it. It will be such a hassle for you to have to keep changing cars or whatever, you'd become like Newman in that ep of Seinfeld. And if they do find you, you'll be in worse trouble.

Just adding on this point: The only difference between the MAC 5-0 and real police officers is that the MAC 5-0 doesn't carry firearms. They have all the same rights and privileges as any other police officer.
