Gr.12 data management to replace stats
ok so i have nearly completed summer school to obtain gr.12 data management so that i don't have to take stats in first year but i don't know whether im supposed to show mac my mark and credit or to just wait till september? What am i supposed to do once i've gotten it?

request a transcript after you write the exam and mail it to mac. they know what to do with it. just make sure you include your name and mac number on a seperate sheet of paper.

the other option is to fax it and then bring in the real copy when you can.

ok the onlyother thing is that we only get a hand written copy right now, so would they be ok with that as long as i bring the printed copy when i get it in sept. ?

yeah... that should be fine for now. i don't know if they'll waive it for you until you bring in the printed copy. you might have to call in and ask. just make sure you bring one in in september.

What Stats are you thinking Data Management is replacing? Because many (Soc Sci, and Sciences programs in the very least) programs require to take a second or third year stats class.

STATS 1L03 - PROBABILITY AND LINEAR ALGEBRA

Not open to students with credit in Grade 12 Mathematics of Data Management U or STATS 1CC3, 2B03, 2D03, 2MA3, 2MB3. Not open to students registered in the Faculties of Science or Engineering.

This is the one.

She's in Art&Science, so I don't know what she plans on using it for, but it does get you into one of the second year stats programs. In any case, with the completion of Data Management, you won't have to take stats 1Lo3 in first year.

^^Actually, just to point out, Arts and Science is also the 'default' that appears when someone neglects to fill out their faculty information (since it's the first in the alphabet).

thanks for the info
i'm going into first year commerce so if i don't take 12 data then i'm stuck taking i think it was stats1L03...i might have that slightly wrong but yea its to avoid taking the required course of stats in first year cause the commerce program says we need it.
