Hamilton cops subdue a woman, then politely explain their actions to filming doucebag
Highlights:
Screaming "I CAN'T BREATHE!" "You know she's a girl right." Sexist much? "I'm cold, let's talk inside." This is Canada, asswipe. "I know my law, I did law very well." Yeah, dat English really shows your law school education.
I wish someone had filmed the douchebag filming this.
People determined to make cops all seem like assholes = nothing to see, right
As if that isn't a common and very wrong attitude. And in some places in the states, the dude would've been given the "you can't record this sir" or tossed in the back of the cruiser too.

It's easy to film them arresting someone, and saying "police abuse", yet not somehow forgetting to film that someone's actions before the arrest.
Just another day on the job having to explain yourself to plebs. Must be enjoyable...

haha wonderful, now police are becoming the victims of social media. people don't understand that not all police abuse their power. these cops just seem to be doing their job.

lol the world isn't sunshine lollipops and rainbows. this is literally just another day in the life of a cop. people do things to cops due to a predetermined judgment on their character. it is what it is.

And that means the guy shouldn't be commended for how he handled the situation, and for taking the time to explain it to the bystanders which, by the way, he was not obligated to do? You might not give a shit, but other people seem to think appreciation is important.

You're legally allowed to film to document actions of police. See below:
Quote:
There is no law in Canada that prevents a member of the public from taking photographs or video in a public place (other than some limitations related to sensitive defence installations);
There is no law in Canada that prevents a member of the public from taking photographs or video of a police officer executing his or her duties in public or in a location lawfully controlled by the photographer (in fact, police officers have no privacy rights in public when executing their duties);
Preventing a person from taking photos or video is a prima facie infringement of a person’s Charter rights;

I love the National Posts' headline: "Most Canadian arrest ever? Hamilton police praised after polite detention of flailing female suspect is caught on video"
