Hamilton's software startup community is coming to McMaster with DemoCampHamilton3! Taking place in the Twelve Eighty pub at 7pm on Wednesday September 28th, the community building event will feature a keynote by StartupNorth.ca Editor David Crow and software demos from local startup companies.
DemoCamp is an "unconference" event with heavy community participation, it is based around a series of 5 minute software demo + 5 minute Q&A sessions. At DemoCampHamilton3 we will have FluidMedia demo Skinnyboard, web-based software that helps agile project teams collaborate to get work done, Verdant Analysis will demo their financial analysis software, Quant Interpretations will demo their consumer intelligence solution, Enthuzr will demo their social marketing platform and Factor[e] design initiative will demo HomeFinder and dive into some of the underlying technologies. We'll also have a non-profit demo from Open Hamilton, the Hamilton branch of the Open Data movement dedicated to improving civic society by the use of and lobbying for open data from all levels of government. Our keynote speaker David Crow is a community building expert, having organized and founded the DemoCamp movement in Toronto.
