Headphone Suggestions?
I'm looking to get a nice pair of headphones (not earphones) hopefully over the break. Not too picky about it, but I want one with good sound quality (obviously). Preferably something under $100 and wireless/bluetooth would be nice, but not necessary.
Any suggestions?

hd555 can occasionally be purchased for 100$
in my opinion they are best sub 100
no wireless, and the only drawback is the need for a headphone jack converter(its included)

Stay away from wireless if you want sound quality.

stick to a decent sound company. Senn, akg, shure, grado. stay more away from bose, monster, sony. Senns tend to have the best treble, akgs are completely mixed depending on model, and shure puts emphasis on equal balance.
I find shures are best sound/money with the 840 being best for all music and the 750DJ having a lot more base. They have another model (940) which is supposed to be around the same sound quality as $1500 HD800's but those are far above your price range.
The 840 and 750DJ (840s ARE better, i have the 750Dj) can both be gotten under $100 if you wait long enough. Most likely boxing day will have them cheap at best buy.
Wireless kills sound quality
If you even plan on using these things in the library get CLOSED type not open, or everyone is going to hear your music very clearly.

Senn HD555 are open air headphones.
Senn HD280 are closed and equally amazing (I've had a pair for ~3 years now)

okay any suggestion for a decent wireless headphones for under 200. the on the go portable type, not the ones with a huge home base. I was looking hoping boxing day I would see some good deals but all i saw was the same two headphones. I remember finding one earliler this month for 140 with a small portable base but couldnt find the link and couldnt remember what the model number is. thanks for your help guys!!

i have Shure in-ear monitors(basically headphones that cancel out sound/profesional yada yada) and i have to say:
they really stand behind their product. mine broke and they sent me a new one no questions asked(it did take 3 weeks though)

I own Alessandro MS1's that I got for $100 from their website, they are a modified version/hybrid of Grado SR60's and SR 80's. The sound quality is amazing especially when coupled with a headphone amp, however I cannot use them in a Library on a busy day since they do leak quite a bit of noise.
I would go with the recommendations for Senn's & Shures

I'd second the Sennheiser HD280 pros. great headphones all around and they're probably the best for the price (~120$). I've had them for a year and they're great.
One thing to note is they're flat response headphones, so they're designed for in-studio work. They sound great with all kinds of music though. They're noise isolating, not noise cancelling, so they wont block out as much as some. That being said, i've had zero problems with this and I've used them in some loud scenarios.
Best bet is to go to a store that has them and try them out.
Avoid Beats and Bose. Both are great headphones but are way overpriced.
