Headphones/earphones recommendation
I'm looking to buy new earphones as mine have spoilt again, for like the fifth time. The longest i've been able to keep an earphone, was for 6 months. So i'm open to suggestions on which earphones are good. I've stayed away from headphones because they are quite noticeable and kind of out there which i don't like. I'm looking for something with good sound quality, noise cancelling, affordabil ity and DURABILITY. And also one where the sound doesn't seep out so others can hear. Any help would be great, thanks

Dont waste your money, I bought 100 dollar headset once, it broke in less than a year. They all break, might as well buy something cheaper. Buy a box of cheap ass headphones, and save the time you waste on getting new ones every 6 months.

Bose AE2 headphones are great. Not noise-cancelling, but they definitely cut out on some outside sound. Highly recommend. Worth the money.

I was going to recommend the Bose AE2 as well. They're perfect and very durable.
I do not recommend monster at all. I've owned 4 beats by Dre (all broke). They fortunately do replace them even with physical damage (I snapped them in half).
I've also owned the in ear monster headphones and I can say Bose blows them away. The Bose will also be cheaper a lot of the time

I've owned a pair of Sennheiser HD-280 pros since 2009, and they're still going strong.

Simple:
Shure SE215
http://www.shure.com/americas/produc...ting-earphones

-Excellent sound quality for price (~$100), far better than bose
-High durability. 2 year warranty. Detachable cable (cable always goes first)!
-Foam Eartips result in the best passive noise isolation available on the market
-wrap-behind-the-ear style and amazing engineering design result in the best fit you will find that wont come out. Great for workouts
-thickest cable ive ever seen on a earphone

You used to be able to get them at futureshop but I know Long and Mcquade sell them as well

Edit: Note that these Shures, like any good headphone/earphone, take HOURS of listening before you get anywhere near their full frequency response. If took about 50 hours before i got the best out of the shures

2nd this, my last pair of Shures lasted almost 5 years before the rubber in the cable thoroughly oxidized, and began to break down. Their "Olive" tips are akin to ear plugs and are comfortable, and block out a lot of sound. Even if those arent your thing, they have a fit kit, with traditional earbud rubber tips.

Though I did have these for 9 months, and actually damaged a driver, but Shure replaced them no questions asked.

If you're looking for pure comfort, Bose is the way to go.

They definitely don't have the best (true) sound quality, go for Shure or AKGs for that. But when it comes to comfort and to a great extent, durability, the Bose AE2 are pretty good. Also, you could look at the bluetooth AE2s too. They are almost as light and wireless.

I wore the Bose AE2 for 6 hrs straight once, no discomfort.

The drivers in the SE215s have a tendency of breaking, Shure is willing to replace them but it's a pretty widespread and well known issue with the SE215s.
