Also, to get through 1st year you need to take a min of 31 units.
Are you positive you can do that? Not take them during the year and then take both during next year's summer. Do you know anyone that's done this?

McMatser offers all of the first year engineering courses during the summer. So if it is necessary for you to drop a course or if you fail a course (hopefully you don't!), you can take them in the summer.

Note: All of the first year engineering courses are offered in the summer except for Engineer 1P03.

Yea for some reason they don't offer 1p03...it's not that hard to pass anyways lol.
What John said is true, mac doesn't offer any upper year engineering courses during the summer except for math.

I know a few people who've taken the headstart program and they've all regretted it. The C03 and P03 courses are easy and good mark boosters for your average to get into 2nd year programs. How they measure your marks for 2nd year disciplines like this: GPA x # of units

So if the cut off for mech is 296 that means you need to get an 8 average on 37 units. If you took headstart you would need an 8.7 average across 34 units. Probably not worth it.

rda_14 says thanks to yaroslav64 for this post.

But i dont think it matters, as long as u have a min of 31 units u should be fine. U have less units --> more time to get a good mark. Just see that u finish the other 6 units esplly if they are prereqs

The only part i regret is that P03 was an easy booster.

Hi, I have a few questions as well.
My brother is registered for the Headstart program and we were wondering what the course set up is for 1c03. (i.e. assignments, midterms, exams)
He is going to be fairly busy after class hours during the final week that the course is running and he needs to know if he will have enough time to do well on a culminating assignment/exam or if he should drop the course.
Thank you for your help!
