I'm trying to decide between Health Sciences and Arts & Science, as someone who's looking at going in to medicine but likes arts as well. Any advice/comments would be much appreciated.

first off, congrats! those are both quite competitive programs to get into.
from your brief description, it sounds like artsci would be quite a good fit for you! lots of artscis (myself included) are aiming for med school, so it is definitely more than possible. we also have the arts courses to balance everything out, as well as an incredibly tight-knit community! check out the mcmaster artsci 2014 facebook group if you wanna meet some upper years and potential fellow classmates!
