i was in hedden last year...
210 if you were wondering...
being beside the common room is not a bad thing at all...
closer to the kitchen!
and the whole building is a/c,
although occasionally (like in the spring) it was getting hot outside and they still had the heat on.
and when we came back from christmas break all of my posters had fell off the walls because it was SOOO hot. it took a few days to air out the rooms.
i had an awesome time in hedden, and i'm now in a house with 7 of my floormates!

Im in room 337.
Btw, for those of you who dont know anything about Hedden, heres a description from this site:
http://www.mlr.ca/view_article.php?s...id=1000&sec=59
Quote:
One of the more recent residences, Hedden is a large, dorm-style building at the northern edge of the north quad. It's five floors high and has two distinct wings, north and south. Having been built more recently than the other buildings (apart from Les Prince), it has some advantages and disadvantages of its own. On the plus side, it looks nicer, has air conditioning, and the washrooms are single-use co-ed scattered throughout the floors. The main negative is that it doesn't connect to Commons underground like the other buildings do, but running there in your pyjamas when it's 20 below just makes that Sizzles burger more rewarding.
Hedden has a reputation for being the most ridiculous residence on campus as far as sex and party stories go. It also holds the record for having the most fire alarms pulled (expect to get a rude 2 am wakeup call at least once a month). This is where I spent my first year, and I have to agree that the reputation is well served. Something about the paint on the walls I guess.
Hedden straight-and-narrow:
You stand the chance of having a really great time in Hedden, with all the ups and downs that come with it. It's a great building to be in so long as you go in with an open attitude and don't make too many enemies (although residence soap-operas are simply unavoidable).

I lived in Hedden last year, 316 I think we had one fire alarm every month (even during welcome week!) I remember one was caused by a leak in a floor above's washroom.

aha i totally remember you ashley!
its funny how all this works out!
and in response to fire alarms...
we had the routine test ones everyday that you ignore,
but during exam periods they got kind of ridiculous...
i've heard of worse from other residences....
like the apartment styles....who have their own kitchen and set off the smoke alarm frequently.
