I lived in Hedden first year too and I agree. On a tour of Mac before first year I saw a double room in Woodstock and it was really small and I was like omg are all doubles like that. Fortunately no, the Hedden doubles are a nice size.

It depends on the people. If it was loud last year then loud people lived in it, it could be different this year.
The CAs on your floor will deal with issues like noise. If you find it too loud after quiet hours and can't sleep or study or whatever you can tell one of them or call the CA on coverage pager.

Fridges are not included in the rooms. You should check to see if your roommate also bought a fridge, there should be an e-mail or something for you to possibly contact them or you could Facebook them. If they haven't bought a fridge they might want to split the cost with you and you can share. Two fridges would probably fit but they'd take up more room, if you don't anticipate having a ton of stuff sharing might be a good solution.

A mini-fridge isn't that expensive though. So I wouldn't suggest splitting the cost. There's also problems at the end of who gets the fridge. But if you haven't bought one you can rent one and split the cost that way. But having a mini-fridge is really useful. I'm bringing mine in my room off-campus next year.

Yeah, definitely get a mini-fridge in your room so you can at the very least store drinks you bring from home. Otherwise you're going to go broke fast buying drinks from campus.

Mini-fridges aren't that expensive, you're right. I think renting them is a waste of money, it can cost more even. If you don't want the mini-fridge when you move out sell it to someone else.
Plus if you don't take up all the room in your fridge you can just let your roommate share for free. It's a nice gesture and good karma, you might like to borrow something or theirs in future too.
I agree on the drinks part too. Drinks are the thing that eats up your meal plan, buying a drink once and a while is good but you don't want to be doing it at every meal or snack. I always used my mini-fridge to keep water, juice whatever. Also keeping some snack items in your fridge like cheese for cheese and crackers or apple sauce or whatever is a good idea too. A night or whenever you don't feel like walking out somewhere for a snack it's good to have something there you can grab and munch on.
