I'm pretty sure they have tubs for some reason.

A call to Housing and Conference Services is in order for katie_batt!

hey,
Keyes has showers, no tubs. However, bates does have tubs.
I'm not sure if there is room on the application, but if you can, mention your speical needs and hopefully they will approve it. then they will ensure that you get placed where your needs are met. But i'd suggest calling housing anyways. If you have a legitimate reason and have special needs, they will accommodate.

I did live in Hedden!! I'm not really a bath person but the ones in my section were kept clean enough that I would use them. The bathroom style in Hedden is more private than other residences and although the same amount of people are designated to a bathroom space in Hedden than in other residences, I think you'll find it is liklier to be cleaner.
Hedden is also a relatively new building -- built in '91.
Not many people take baths in rez so you'd probably have it all to yourself.. Also, you know which people are sharing the bathroom with you -- they're your neighbours. You could always just let them know about wanting to keep the bath tub clean and I'm sure they would all be fine with that! =)

But, I would also check into what Chad had mentioned and look into getting accomodation!

Hot to Go?

Like Temara said, not many people take baths in rez, although other residences, like Woodstock for example, have them.
If Whidden is like Woodstock then there is a shower head above the tub, so you might have people using it.

People are always talking about how far away Les Prince is from everything, and when I was at May @ Mac, I thought that Hedden and Les Prince were like right next to each other. Is Hedden as far from everything as Les Prince is, or was I juust imagining it?

Hedden is far but not as far as Les Prince. When it's freezing cold outside, you're late for class and you have to run to HSC (the hospital) for an 8:30 am lecture it's pretty far!

Hedden used to be teased for being the farthest before les prince.. there were cheers and everything until it seemed more fitting for LP to have them.

I lived in Hedden and in Whidden as well and I can tell you that comparing the walking distance between the residences is very small. It only seems long when you're comparing relative distances between residences...

Les prince is a bit futher. From les prince the walk to hedden takes around 1-2minutes depending on how fast you walk. Les prince is kinda isolated on its own to one side. Hedden is still close to commons, but for les prince, it is a futher walk.
it doesnt' matter too much, you live in to it.

Haha, yeah, as Temara said, there really isn't a lot of difference - we're talking maybe an extra 100 metres or so from the door of Hedden to that of Les Prince. Trust me, you don't know how lucky you have it at Mac compared to some other universities (like Western) in regards to the location of the residences. I've heard it often repeated on this forum about how "Les Prince is so far from everything", but that's only in relative terms, really.

I also think it's funny when people say Hedden is far when it's maybe 50 metres from Woodstock, which no one ever says is out of the way :p But, yeah, when you're tearing out of the building late to hand in an assignment, seconds count, haha.
