HELP! how do i use OSAP?!?
ok, so i know the OSAP basics; what it is, how to repay and stuff but i am not sure what will happen after I complete the online application. Will send me an email explaining all the next steps? I'd really like to get a picture or summary of what all my steps wud be.

Also, i read somewhere on the website that the deadline for applying for OSAP is 90 days after the last study period. Does this mean I have until 28th July 2010 to submit it? Because my last exam was on 28th April.

Also, where does the money from OSAP go? into a bank account, the mcmaster account or will it directly be paid off to the university and the remainder will show on my mac account??

I know these might be pretty basic/stupid questions but im quite confused! I didnt have to take OSAP in my first year (going into 2nd now) so i didnt have to deal with all of this before. Any help will be much appreciated!

1. You apply + send in supporting documentation
2. You are assessed
3. You are either entitled or not
4. You pick up OSAP in September (60%) and January (40%). Depending on your payment plan it'll either go to McMaster or to you.
5. You reapply the following year, if you do not apply or are not entitled you have to sign some form to tell them you are still in school.
6. Once you graduate, interest starts to pile up.
7. You have to start paying monthly amounts 6 months after you graduate.

So if you picked the payment in full option, the January amount goes to you?
