help with solar courses needed
nevermind.....i figured out my solution.....

BUT on a side note, Id like to ask you guys....

I'm taking both orgo chem this summer so I figured I'd take a spare next year term 1 because so far all my courses for term 1 are biochem, biology, and chem bio courses. I figured it'd be a lil tough on me so Id like the spare and since I will have completed both orgos i think i have room for that. All my electives are second term btw.

So do any of you guys have anything against that? Is that not recommended? Am I allowed to take one spare? Will that affect my OSAP?

Take an easy elective, something you enjoy

I actually have no answer to your question but I thought I'd give my input

I think taking a reduced courseload can affect your OSAP; contact SFAS to ask about your specific situation.

I know several people who, since they had completed orgo in the summer, took 3rd year courses for which orgo is a prereq while they were still in second year. Since there were a lot of 3rd and 4th year courses that interested them, this opened up elective spaces during those years.

These people were also taking all chembio/biochem/bio courses in second year and it was perfectly manageable, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

If you only take one course off it shouldn't EFFECT your OSAP.
But I suggest you DON'T do that. Just take an easy elective. You're only in university for 4 (or 5) years and eventually you realize you can't take all the electives you wanted to so don't waste it.
