Welcome Emily!!! Mac is great, and you'll meet LOTS of new people, so don't worry about it. You're already among friends on MacInsiders
And we'll be holding some social events throughout the year for you to meet others that are members of MacInsiders.
MacConnector is the easiest way to meet new people. When I came to McMaster there were only a handful of people coming from my high school that I was friends with and they went into Sciences, Engineering, and other faculties.. but not mine (Humanities) so I barely saw them since they were in different buildings!
Through MacConnector (which is an event we'll tell you more about closer to September that happens during welcome week) I met a lot of new people, and then continued meeting others through the MSU, clubs, and the many other ways to get involved.
Check out our multi-part series on getting involved with campus life at Mac, and don't be nervous because there's so many ways to meet people and you'll easily make many friends at McMaster!!!
