Hey everyone,

I'm Taylor and am going into second year Honours Economics (with a tentative minor in Political Science, so will be taking many political science courses as well).

After university (which may include a master's degree) I plan to volunteer abroad and do a little backpacking, and by a little I mean a lot - would love to see the world.

I used to play rep hockey until my last year in high school. I played on my high school's rugby and hockey team as well. I also play the violin and love to horseback ride. Other hobbies I love are anything outdoors-y like camping, canoeing, and hiking. I also like to jog. However, I also enjoy my fair share of the tv...

With that said, the following are shows I watch throughout the year (I may and probably will forget some): Castle, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Beauty and the Beast, Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, Rookie Blue, Elementary, Strike Back, Hart of Dixie.

My favourite movie(s) of all time are The Lord of the Rings (all of them, they are all one movie to me) and Pride and Prejudice.

Some books I have read and liked/loved include the Harry Potter series, Twilight series, the Great Gatsby, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Pride and Prejudice. I am currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire series (what the Game of Thrones series is actually called).

I'll end this little introduction about me before I write a novel of my own with a few more-or-less interesting facts about myself....
- I am a vegetarian
- I have my own cat, his name is Legolas
- (based on my cat's name this won't be that surprising) I have a Lord of the Rings tattoo, (yes I truly do and it's not writing)

You never heard of MI in first year or just got to joining it after? :p What do you plan to take for your Masters if you do decide to go down that path? How long have you been playing the violin for? I play it too.

Do you watch True Blood? The first part of the LOTR trilogy is the best to me.

I hadn't really heard of MI during first year, more to the end of the year but recently decided to join.
Not too sure of my plans for a Masters yet - a few career paths are appealing to me.
I started playing the violin when I started grade 2 (whatever age that is haha).
I used to watch True Blood! Loved it for a while, but stopped watching it a season ago because it got a little too weird lol.
All things LOTR are amazing to me My favourite out of the three would be the Two Towers for the sole reason of the Battle for Helm's Deep. Second favourite would be Return of the King and then third the Fellowship of the Ring. It's all very close though, love them all. I wouldn't even be able tell you how many times I've watched them all.

You're welcome, and also I see. I have a few options I want to consider too for my Masters. I started playing the violin around grade 4 or so I think :p and around what season did you stop watching True Blood? It's definitely a unique show, either that or I don't watch too much t.v. haha.
